Terms and Conditions

1. The Steve Parish Publishing – Summer photography Facebook competition (“Competition”) is open from 22 November 2009 until midnight on 20 December 2009 (“Competition Period”) and operated by Steve Parish Publishing Pty Ltd, 98 Factory Road, Oxley, Qld, 4075 (“Promoter”) and hosted via the website found at www.facebook.com on the Steve Parish fan page (“Website”).

2. The Competition is open to all Australian residents over the age of 16 (sixteen) excluding employees, agents (or families of such employees or agents) of Promoter or anyone else connected with the administration of the Competition (“Entrants”).

3. By entering the Competition, all Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any Entrant who fails to abide by any of these Terms and Conditions, or fails to meet the entry criteria set out in paragraph 2 above, may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Promoter.

4. To enter the Competition, become a fan and upload a photograph to the fan page suitable for entry into the Steve Parish Photography Competition. The Summer Photography Competition category is: sunshine. Any inappropriate images will be removed immediately and the fan will be blocked from the fan page. You must own the IP to share your photograph with the Steve Parish Facebook fan page.

Only one entry per Entrant per week will be accepted. The winning photo is identified each Monday commencing 30 November until 21 December 2009.

5. One entry will be selected each week as the weekly Winner of the competition. The weekly Winner will receive a prize. This is a Competition of skill and not based on chance. Entries will be judged on skill, by other facebook fans. The decision by Promoter as to the determination of the Winners shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Promoter accepts no responsibility for incomplete, lost, damaged, incomprehensible or indecipherable entries and all such entries shall be disqualified. If the entry procedure to the Competition is found to have been tampered with in any way, including submission of ‘spam’ entries, Promoter may withdraw the Competition at their discretion. All entries must be received by midnight on 20th December 2009 (“Closing Date”). No entries will be accepted after the Closing Date.

7. The weekly Winner will receive a copy of “How to photograph Australia” by Steve Parish (the “Prize”) with RRP of $24.95. The prize will be posted to a suitable mailing address, that is to be provided by the Winner.

8. The name and city of the weekly Winner may be announced on the Website shortly after the weekly Winner has been notified. The weekly Winner will be notified via Facebook. In the event that a weekly Winner fails to confirm acceptance of the Prize within 5 (five) working days of receiving notification, Steve Parish Publishing reserves the right to substitute them with another Entrant of its choice.

9. The Prize is non-transferable, subject to availability and there is no cash alternative. Promoter may substitute an alternative of the same or comparable value if it, in its sole discretion, deems necessary.

10. The Winners agree to participate in such reasonable publicity as may be requested by Promoter. The Winners agree to the publication of their respective name and county as referred to in paragraph 8 above.

11. By entering the Competition all Entrants consent to the use of their personal details by the Promoter for the purposes of the administration of the Competition only and any other purposes to which the Entrant may consent on entry to such Competition.

12. As far as permitted by law (but not including liability personal injury or death arising from its negligence) Promoter excludes all liability in connection with the Competition or the Prize awarded or not awarded in connection with the Competition.

13. Promoter reserves the right to modify or vary the Competition and/or these Terms and Conditions at any time.
